In the original, each person gives a live 3-minute walkthrough of an inspiring product. Async replaces this with submitted links and written commentary.
What the AI Posts
💡 ACTIVITY: Lightning Demos
Find 1-2 products, services, or ideas that solve a SIMILAR problem to ours — ideally from a DIFFERENT industry.
For each, post to #sprint-inspiration:
- A link (or screenshot)
- The big idea: What’s the one thing worth stealing? (2-3 sentences)
- A quick sketch or screenshot of the specific element you find inspiring
Also consider: • Old ideas from within our own company that were abandoned or unfinished • Competitor approaches (what do they get right?) • Analogous problems in completely different domains
⏱ Deadline: [time, 16 hours from now]
AI Compilation
After the deadline, the AI creates an Inspiration Board — a summary post in #sprint that:
- Lists all submitted demos with their “big idea” one-liners
- Groups them by theme if patterns emerge
- Highlights the most-reacted-to submissions
- Pins the post for reference during sketching

All materials are pinned in #sprint-inspiration for reference during sketching.
Divide or Swarm Decision
If the target covers multiple distinct areas (e.g., landing page, signup flow, dashboard), the AI asks:
📐 DIVIDE OR SWARM?
Our target covers these areas:
- [Area A]
- [Area B]
- [Area C]
Should everyone sketch for the same area (swarm) or should we spread out (divide)?
If divide: reply with which area you want to tackle. If swarm: react with 👍 and everyone focuses on the same spot.
Quick decision — the Decider calls it if there’s no consensus in 2 hours.
