Pattern Finding

Collect blind pattern submissions and synthesize strong, moderate, and weak signals.

Updated

After all interviews are complete and observations are posted, the team looks for patterns.

Individual Pattern Identification (Blind)

🔍 PATTERN FINDING

All 5 interviews are done. Time to find patterns.

Step 1: Read through ALL observation notes across all 5 interviews.

Step 2: DM me the patterns you see. A pattern is something that showed up with 3+ customers, or a strong reaction from 2+.

Format each pattern as: 🟢 / 🔴 / ⚪ + pattern description + which interviews it appeared in

Example: 🟢 “4/5 customers immediately understood the value proposition (Interviews 1, 2, 3, 5)” 🔴 “3/5 customers couldn’t find the signup flow (Interviews 1, 3, 4)”

⏱ Deadline: [4 hours from now]

AI Pattern Synthesis

After collecting individual pattern submissions, the AI:

  1. Compiles all submitted patterns
  2. Merges duplicates
  3. Ranks by frequency (how many team members noticed the same pattern)
  4. Ranks by customer impact (how many customers exhibited the behavior)
  5. Posts the synthesized list:
